Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a condition in which a woman's ovaries produce an abnormal amount of male sex hormones called androgen. This happens when there is a disruption with the glands in the Endocrine system. A visible symptom of this is facial hair on women's chin. In the United States, an estimated 26 million women between the ages of 15 and 50 have uterine fibroids. On average, African American women are younger at onset of fibroids, and have larger and more numerous tumors. The United States has the highest cases of uterine fibroids followed by Germany and the United Kingdom. Most women with fibroids usually experience PCOS because both affects the female reproductive system. What cause Fibroids? fibroids can be linked to birth control, mass-produced meat (Chicken, beef, etc), some drugs/prescribed medications, all of which contains some form of synthetic estrogen which the digestive system is unable to break down. A diet of highly processed food and sugar is also a big contributor. Although hysterectomy is an option given by most Doctors, most women I've talked to would rather keep their uterus.
Knowledge have increased and more women are opting to go the natural route to try and keep their reproductive organs healthy. The PCOS/Fibroid protocol or the "Eve Program" has become popular and has been shown to help women not only ease the symptoms of PCOS and Fibroids but it has also been shown to shrink fibroids, Balance the endocrine system, reduce or eliminate heavy menstrual bleeding, reduce facial hair growth overtime and eliminate the pain associated with a woman's monthly cycle. Women who are experiencing PCOS and Fibroids are encouraged to maintain a healthy dietary lifestyle free of processed foods, junk foods, fast foods, dairy products, birth control and animal protein containing synthetic hormones.
